TZFM201 Spring Week 1 Practise & Activity 1.7

A portrait of my granddaughter taken last October when she was nearly six months old. She was sitting on the floor in my lounge with a foot stool propped up as the background and lit with studio flash in a large umbrella camera left, and a reflector camera right. The depth of field is relatively shallow but I have ensured her eyes are pin sharp, which is generally the approach to take. Myla has particularly big blue eyes and long eyelashes which create some impact I think for her portrait.
I like this photo as it captures her well at this age and the look which she typically had at that time. I like that she has been deliberately dressed in coordinated colour clothes (which I pre-planned).
This might be considered to be a typical or traditional studio portrait style. I am keen to move beyond this now and to get more sophisticated with my studio lighting and to develop a more relaxed / casual style rather than just typical studio poses and to also create more interesting lighting.
